The evolution of dirt bikes and motocross

The evolution of off-road motorcycles, dirt bikes commonly called, is a long and complicated history. The first motorcycles were actually changed nothing but bicycles with gasoline engines attached. These motor bicycles were amazing inventions in his day. No reliable but amazing methods of transportation, these people began captivating motorcycles worldwide. From paved streets were not the norm at the time, bikes in general, could be considered dirt bikes from the beginning. No person or company has been credited with the invention of dirt bike. off-road motorcycling is really an evolution many years, with better tires, better suspension and seats, stronger frames and better control features that are credited to many people who were essentially modifying their own bikes for better off-road use. Triumph motorcycles did however design built specifically for a motorcycle ride dirt in 1914, although this model is not actually credited with being the first dirt bike.

Motocross racing seems to have originated in Europe, most likely France with these principles of motorcycles that ran through forest roads or racing to the top of a mountain road for advertising. Many of these early races were not road racing, but racing against the clock where riders competed only against each other individually. Racing expanded as production motorcycles to include stirring and cross country events that excited and entertained spectators. Incidentally, the word was derived from motocross motorcycle cross-country words. The race time was moved to a shorter runway, closed for easy viewing of spectators and a better control of the riders themselves. With the world in War and the Great Depression, off-road motorcycles, there may have been a priority concept with people for many years, but interest in dirt racing was not about to disappear. Then Soichiro Honda came in 1946 with his idea to produce cheap transportation for people after the Second World War. Honda became more predominant in the name for motorcycles and dirt bikes, in particular, undoubtedly due to the fact that they are the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. They were joined other manufacturers over the years who became household names as well. Suzuki produced its first motorcycle in 1954, 1955 Yamaha, and Kawasaki in 1960. Although bike of dirt are still far in the future for the big four, this was the beginning of the onslaught of a motor sport unlike any other. dirt bikes and racing dirt bike become one of the most popular motorsport in the world.

After a mixture of both two times and four times in various engine models through the years, Honda finally design and build a competitive engine two-stroke motocross in 1972. Came to the U.S. in 1973 and is called the RC250 Elsinore. It immediately becomes the fastest production bike off-road racing in his class and placed Honda only at the top of the pyramid in relation to careers motocross. In the 1970s, motocross races, which would eventually motorcycle manufacturers expected. off-road motorcycling would become a recreational activity not unlike riding a bicycle with his explosive popularity among the general public. The four major Japanese manufacturers finally produce a complete line of motorcycle products cross in a variety of sizes for different kinds of races and ages. children's bicycles land would be available for those who start early and dual motorcycles use is also available with dirt tires and suspension along with the legal characteristics of the streets. Other manufacturers also joined the Dirt Bike specialized market, including Maico, Gas Gas and KTM.

To this day, dirt bikes follow its evolution with nearly constant improvement in weight reduction, suspension, engine reliability and overall performance. They are used as weekend recreation vehicles for millions of people around the world. The racing world Motocross has become more popular than ever thanks to dirt bike riding, basically, evolved into an art form. Freestyle riding and trick riding is captivating younger drivers each year and manufacturers are responding by producing high quality, cutting edge dirt bikes.
