What do you want in interviews WHAT?
What interviewers want people who want to join a photography course uni?? Like you're from a background of art and design, but why?? I mean why do they have to come from an art course to have a love photography and be good at it. Some of the best photographers in the world Magnum) never (even do photography courses? What do you want to hear from a student this is not an art fund? Cheers
Part of the process of the interview is to see how committed you are. To get an idea of the type of person you are and if there someone who will contribute to the course. The reason I prefer someone with a background in art and design is what has been learned about the design and composition. Photography Fine art is more to do with the creative vision of the artist (photographer) that photojournalism and commercial photography, I guess it will be one of the issues be studied. I guess you have a portfolio to take with you and this will have as much influence on his decision to accept as any funds that are in the art. From this will be decided on the amount of talent he has for the media. If they have not been asked to take a purse, have one with so many different issues, lighting, black and white, and color photographs. They say much more about your photography skills than they can verbalize.
