50cc Moped Scooter
I am looking to buy a 50cc scooter/moped and wantto know what to look out for?
what brands should i stay away from? which are the best for the buck? i dont want to spend alot on a scooter but i want it to be reasonable.
I would stick with the major Japanese mfgrs. There are a lot of scooters on the market now from China and Taiwan and I just wouldn’t trust them. I’d rather have a used Honda or Yamaha.
A bike like that is pretty simple. There’s not many moving parts, not much to go wrong. If you buy a used one, just make sure it runs smoothly and doesn’t look like it’s been thrashed. As to see it started from cold, that should give you an idea. Check the tires to see if they will need to be replaced soon. Look to see if it makes a lot of smoke.
