What 50cc moped to get?
I have been mainly looking at the zuma and ruckus and after reading on those two, I was focused towards the Zuma but I was on craigslist today and saw a Phantom F-12 “that does 70mph” and I read a lot about it and they seem pretty good but my dad doesn’t want to get the F-12 because he doesn’t think he will be able to get parts and he considers it “off brand”.
Are there any other 50cc mopeds out there that are decent that I dont know about? Or just give me your opinions.
It was also not stock, it was hopped up to race but was not raced.
I looked at genuine and the rough house looks really nice to me and for around the same price as the zuma I may go with that.

I owned a 650cc Suzuki S40 Cruiser, it would top out at 86. Their’s not a 50cc Bike, Scooter, Anything that will do that speed. If it even got close you would blow up the engine like I did with my Suzuki! ***Never try and keep up with a 1000cc bike when you on a 650.***
If your going to be just puttering around backroads, a 50cc should be alright. But if I were you I would save up a bit longer and get at least a 150 or 250cc. – They make a Yamaha Zuma in 125cc.
But if you stick to the 50cc area – I would defidentley go with a Name Brand. A Honda Ruckus – A Yamaha Zuma – those two seem to get good ratings and are backed by solid companys with history of quality products.
Whatever you choose, just ride safe.
