50cc Scooters License

Scooters 50cc street legal in TN? Need a motorcycle license?
I've tried to check the TN DMV site and Google too, and I do not think can find the answer to this. Does anyone know if, in the state of Tennessee, a 50 cc scooter is street legal? I guess a motorcycle license is needed as well? These probably sound like silly questions but I do not know much about it and I like to learn. I know that the 150cc and 250cc are definitely street legal, just not sure about the smaller size, it is likely that I would start with the one I have never ridden before.
