Adventurous date ideas in Missouri, Kansas or Arkansas?

We are a very outdoorsy couple and are looking for something fun to do for a weekend. We are willing to travel just not too far. We love camping, riding our ATVS and etc.. but are wanting to try something different and fun! Any ideas??? Adventure and romance? Is it possible to get the best of both worlds?

Go to Lake of the Ozarks or Table Rock Lake and rent a nice boat. Go to some secluded places and let nature take over.
