Deltran battery tender plus battery against Companion.Which Schumacher charger is actually better?
I need some type of charger to maintain battery fully charged in my quad through winter.Anyone have any experience with this type of chargers.Which 2 is better? Price isn't a problem, but if more or less the same, so why pay $ 20 more? battery tender plus on Ebay — $ 39.95 — new battery Companion $ 19.00 Wal-Mart Thanks guys for all info.I good that I will go with the battery tender and spend the extar cash.All your answers are good so I'll let this out to vote.Thanks.
I have several brands and sizes of battery chargers, so all the work … could not find the battery companion Walmart line, but found several different models here http://www.batteryweb.com/schumacher-modellist.cfm?Use=TRICKLE+% 2F% 2F + + + maintainer SLOW CHARGERS including one that is comparable to the best … different key points of the battery to a battery charger for your ATV is that it is a slow charger (1-2 amps) with the correct voltage (6 or 12, many have a switch for both), with an automatic shutoff when the battery is fully charged … plain and simple. I even use one of the very cheap that is used to charge the batteries or dry cell gel used in wild game feeders in one of my bikes, only about $ 12.14 … by it just depends on what additional features you would like to have as quick disconnects, LEDs, variable settings for rapid charging, etc. I have an offer Battery quick disconnect too much with for one of my KTM, simply disconnect under the seat and ride the bike … KTM my others, I have the cheapy mentioned above that has alligator clips that I have to clamp on the battery contacts, so I have to disconnect clips and reinstall the seat … takes about 5 minutes to be ready to mount … quick disconnect, but are not suitable manditory.
