Four-stroke ATV Ignition System and the stator?
I have a 1986 TRX250 Four Trax (Utility Models). Recently I lost spark have replaced "Ign. Both coils coil-Press mini CDI and CDI box (not sure of the term)-defective spark a stator make me lose the spark in a four-stroke bike? Battery is connected and charged through a tender. It also examined the voltage regulator and is NOT swollen, melted or visually damaged. A defective stator make me losing the spark in a four-stroke bike? Is there a way to test my stator?
A bad stator does not charge the battery, but only if the battery is initially charged, you get the spark until the battery runs down. You have pretty well replaced the entire ignition system, so it's time you spend $ 5 for a cheap multimeter and start checking the tension. I check the ignition switch, kill switch and fuse / wire connectors.
