Where should I start to build an all-terrain vehicle / track MX?
My father has partion on the 5 acres of their land for me and for my nephews to build a ATV / mx park. The land is flat farmland. We have a brand new tractor with a front loader and various scrapers. Any suggestions or websites you can point me. We are expert riders, but we would like jumps, mud pits and other obstacles. This can only be used for the family and some close friends. Not for public use.
If you have a public track in your area, go talk to the owner. Ask them if they to amend the soil, the problems they have with the land in particular in your area. Some soils are so difficult to work, you need to modify them. Make sure which plans for irrigation and easy to work. A dust trail is not fun. You can see the designs watching the races on TV, but note that the tracks are set to challenge the best drivers – not for beginners or intermediate maintain happy and healthy. Start small. Working in a large oval, make corners berms dug down, not building. Use the corners of earth dug out to build a cry on a straight section, and a jump in the line others. Make a line of comes out at an angle and heading in a corner on the left. The output should be approximately 2 times as wide as the rest of the track. Make jumping tabletops rather than double or triple. This way if someone falls behind, they do not plow in the face of the next hop. If you start with a large oval, and played with it for a while can use the infield "to make more corners, jumps and screams and become better drivers, and how to find out what makes you happy. Leave the original oval instead and have the components to join her new track. By leaving the original oval embedded in the track, you have for anyone to ride a 'rookie' loop always ready. For safety, if you plan on having more than a couple of people on the track at the same time, make sure you have a lot of death row space between sections track (do not have a cry to the north section – next to a jump to the south). hay bales and old tires used as barriers between the closure and / or sections problem. If Do you have friends to ride, have your parents make a written set of "any rules track 'which is not the family will have to read and sign the rules. This will not to prevent anyone sue their parents if something goes wrong, but it will help to hold discussions and problems to a minimum.
