Ouray – Summer Vacation Adventure in the Colorado Rockies

Let me guess. You are receiving this feeling restless. It's been a long hot summer already, and oops! Here is mid July and summer will be over before we can invite the in-laws over traditional summer barbecue. We're going of this house, this neighborhood, and we will take a vacation!

But where? Let's see … There's always the beach. Yeh, the beach with the crowds, the glare the sun, the sand granules. And I get tired very fast right out there in the sun or shade with occasional notch in the waves.

Of course some of you get up in unison to protest this beach scene. There are some magnificent beaches and there are lots and lots of things to do.

And you'll also find lots and lots really exciting, involving activities in the mountains of Colorado, Ouray, Colorado, is one of the best, in my humble opinion. My wife and I just returned from a stay of three nights or three days. We took the cheap route this time. We stopped our little camping trailer in the KOA Kampground, put it on the grass with a hill and trees to the west, and I was home for the next three nights. And only used it at night. There was too much to do to spend any time the nights there in the camp.

This KOA is one of our favorites. These people really have the words and life of the environment. No question is too old or too ridiculous. The staff will spend personal time with each to provide the answers. This KOA is clean and neat, and if you are interested in one night of sleep, the whole field is quiet and respectful of the 10 pm. We loved our stay with KOA!

We love the outdoors, and provides Ouray. We bounced back and was amazed by off-road trails. I recently wrote a blog on our own site about the jeep trails in Colorado. Ouray is no exception. And these roads top out at over 13,000 feet. You can see forever. I do not know where you are going to find a floral show most beautiful and varied. mid-summer is awesome. If you do not want jeep, then ATV or mountain bike, or bike, or hike.

* The natural hot springs pool fun and relaxation for all ages.

* Box Canyon Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and cascading waterfalls are inspiring.

* Current fishing is only through the door back.

* Spectaular mountain landscape (water, earth, flowers, and the sky) to release their tensions and worries and offer panoramic pictures.

* The community offers all summer community events, concerts and activities.

* And if you just enjoy shopping, several blocks from the main street sign.

If the summer is not the holiday season, then make this your winter choice.Just care with snowmobiles, skiers and ice climbers!

So pack up the car. Load in children. Or leave the kids with Grandma and consider that deserved to reach-a-way. But check out reserve accommodation. This is a popular haunt, although the crowd did not overwhelm. No open space is too much to feel full. Bon voyage!
