2000 Yamaha Warrior horse problems.?
Well, yesterday my dad came out and I bought ATV and my new brother. my brother has a honda 400ex 2001 and stayed with the warrior. IT is a warrior, 2000, with a slide comes on, the Directorate General of push rod and axle, tires, etc. I'm angry at this time not simply because he stood! I rode the honda 400ex and it was easy as pie. PPL say it's just heavy, but I doubt it. I also think that the clutch can be used to hell because barley have to pull the clutch be enabled. Has also been quite large tires on it, but not super great, nothing more than a lil bigger than the 400ex, so it is true that changing tire size will change the gear ratio allowing easy horses? need help. any and all suggestions needed
You probably have your own answer>> Bad clutch. Things have a strong running engine really, the power to bump into her ass, if you work over an attempt on wheels. If the engine was running "Too Bad" a horse,, You would know immediately. It is most likely due to the clutch plates again ,,,,, some heavy duty clutch springs would be a good improvement, while you are in it (almost a MUST) Use oil well when ya get it back together. definitely a must. Replacing the clutch is not a bad job in the ATV's. If you have basic mechanical skills, you can do it yourself easy enough. ………………………….. tire size and gear. 1 "Change tire diameter = a change in the speed of 3 mph. Warriors are geared a bit peculiar,,,, They use a 13T on the front, and 12T is the smallest available. 12T in that chain of size, is hard on the chain. It would be best set-up with a 14T front. So you go up against a size 15 ~ 16 ~ 17,,,, and down to 13 or 12. You'd have much more flexibility of options, as well as saving time and money at any time wanted to change their gear. Next time you need to replace the chain and sprockets,,, give that idea some consideration. Good luck,,, when you get to the square distance must be very happy with it.
