Honda TRX 300 Fourtrax shifter help ?????????
I have a honda atv 300 fourtrax 2WD 92. when I bought the ATV someone had tried welding the gear shift lever back where it was dn broken. i replaced the shifter shaft new one and also replaced the ratchet, the train drum and most of the drum end of the shifter. seemed to ratchet and work well while jacked in the air, but after putting the side cover and putting are ground running when trying to change finally accelerated and is now stuck, will not move up or down. I tried adjusting the clutch screw located on the right side, but has not yet seen to make any difference. Has anyone worked on one of these that could give me an idea of what they do? would be approx. thanks to her normal and smoothly changed before changing the axis and the other parties shite
The engine must be dismantled. The change "forks" are Worn or bent and need to be replaced. That's why the previous owner had to weld the shifter. It was so hard to change and try to put pressure extra shift lever, which lines the grooves on the shaft or shift lever broke,
