what would you do if an adult gave a minor alcohol then lent them his atv,they rolled it and he wants 6,000 ?

What would you do if an adult gives a minor alcohol then gives the kids keys to his atv (that they were not experienced to drive) who is responsible for damage to the atv ? The kids rolled it and broke the axle and he wants them to pay $6,000.00

The adult is guilty of supplying a minor with alcohol and endangering a child.

The children need to talk with their parents and tell them what happened.
