hey Im looking to get a 3-wheel ATV?

I live in Michigan I heard long ago that 3 wheels are illegal here are or am I wrong I do not want to buy one and not be able to use it on the road or to obtain a license therefor

Three wheel ATV NOT illegal to own or operate on public or private land anywhere in the U.S.. It is illegal to manufacture 3-wheel all-terrain for use in this country, existing units that were produced before the ban still legal for sale between individuals. All major manufacturers adopted a policy for its independent dealers that sell used ATVs 3 wheel because of the liability that may exist, but buying one from a private party (individual or independent bicycle dealer uses) is perfectly legal.
