Lost keys, Polaris Sportsman EFI ATV 2005-700?

Said another thread to get dealer to have VIN numbers. My dealer says I have to buy a new ignition $ 70.00. I have no spare parts to copy. Any other suggestions that do not cost $ 70.00, in addition to seeking more difficult for my lost key? Thanks
