can you explain what a jet kit is and what does it do?

A jet kit consist of different sized jets, somtimes different springs. You need a jet kit to recalibrate the carb when you have changed the stock air filter or exhaust to a high performance one. High performance add ons allow the the intake and exhaust to be more free flowing hence throwing the carb (stock) jetting off.
