ATV riding trail is …?
My son is 14 and I want him to take a safety course ATVs. We have a Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI. If my child (note that is 14 and the sticker says no one under 16 allowed to drive the ATV) takes a safety course road vehicles, that is legally possible to drive the Polaris 500 ATV on a public road? We are riding around Milwaukee, WI
I'm pretty sure you can legally drive if you have taken the course. It can also drive under adult supervision, even w / o the course. I could not find the laws WI, but I am sure can not be far away from New York, they are: Do I need a driver's license to drive an SUV? You do not need a driver's license driving an ATV, but restrictions apply to ATV drivers under 16: Children 10-15 years old may drive a road vehicle only: with adult supervision, or without adult supervision of the property where their parent or guardian is the owner or tenant, or without adult supervision on property which allows the use of ATV and the child completed an ATV safety training course approved by DMV. (Bring your course certificate with you when you drive.)
