How to put a Honda Foreman ATV into neutral?

So, I have a Honda Foreman ATV and it is a few years old. The other day, I drove it and parked it outside my shed, now when I go to start it, the oil temp light, lights up and then goes out after a few seconds. I know the battery is fine because i tried jumping it, but I can’t seem to get the foot pedal to make the neutral light come on. The only thing I am not sure of is a switch on the handle bar towards the right side, its like a silver toggle switch, or another thing on the left side near where you put your leg, its like a switch that says fuel, restart, and something (I forget) and you just twist a plastic arrow thing to point at one of those. So how do I start this thing, I need to use it.

And I know it needs to be in neutral because the engine wont crank unless it is in neutral.

rock the bike back and forth, sometimes those hondas will not switch to another gear until the previous one is completely engaged, the way to do that is to rock it back and forth(or have it running)

the switch on the left side is the fuel shut off, set it on run…or something similar im not sure of how its worded
