I need to know what kind of oil goes in my 1988 Suzuki LT80 ATV housing? I have no manual.?

Someone worked on my ATV for me.He was in a hurry! The went before has been made, and that is ok.He me how 2 remove 2 bolts and said that after you find out what kind of oil, then u need oil 2 seat on the upper bolt hole in the oil pan intill u see out through the bolt hole under that.With is later the bike shop was not open to question, so a man in ruaul king said to use oil ASE30 motor. Is this information correct? please help?

more portfolios recommended 10W40 but some people say you should use gear oil. does not really matter much, most important is that there is oil in it.
