Atv Street Legal Tires

I hear that in Montana, ATV street legal, provided they have DOT legal tires, and lights required?

Is this true? I was reading people are installing on your ATV trailer tires that are legal for the street, not the trailer tires of a SUV are unstable and more dangerous?

Not sure about Montana, but in South Dakota all-terrain vehicle legal DOT tires (designed for ATV – not the tires of the trailer) and the lights needed can (and should) be licensed as a motorcycle and riding through the streets. They are not legal interstate highway use / – only low-speed streets.
