What is the best ATV for a young beginner driver?

My son is saving for his first ATV and I think the match dollar for dollar you save any amount. In your opinion, what is the best ATV to buy as a starter for a young man learning to ride? I am looking for something easy to learn. Also looking for something reliable because I know nothing about fixing them, so I'll have to rely on a local store to get any work performed. (Yes, I know it's an expensive hobby.) What are your thoughts on the best brands and models?

well, if your child is 8 or 9, 100-150 cc one would be good to be good for him. If hes a teenager, I rec. a 250 cc. Honda is a good reputable company, which is built around the quality not just speed. You said this is an expensive hobby, this is not exactly true. I had my four-wheeler from 01 "and travel frequently. I only had some problems with it until date, each of whom were not very expensive. All you have to do is keep it indoors (such as a garage or shed) so its out of the elements. Also is necessary to wash the mud from it after each use (one of the reasons is that its still soft so comes off easily with a hose). And most importantly all, do not always go under the water! This can cause water to enter the engine, which could damage the engine. So, if you follow these steps, the only cost after purchase and a helmet, must be for the gas.
