A "new series" The experience
Every time you run into a vintage motorcycle show or a museum, do you dream that would be to be one of those tough bikers back in the day? You care about kick starting the "Betty", and what it is and really a trip. Just think – take a handful of non-mesh gear, slapping the clutch cable and collection work that bolts to top of holding the sprocket and a walk around on the edge. Our ancestors biking really loved their machines to endure all this and find the fun and excitement that has driven the industry to what it is today.
I've always been there, before the two-wheeled time machine and wondered what it would be like to not only own a vintage motorcycle, but in reality to mount a full-time. Not just for a show or something, but to experience what it would be like to assemble and maintain these historic bikes on a daily basis.
There are some problems with the life of this dream. How can you trust a vintage collection of nuts and bolts, all the while knowing that as the bike vital parts of their rare may need a replacement? This is the main reason to relegate many of these bikes to a rack of time just to watch. I am proud to say that I have found a way to actually own and ride a vintage motorcycle classic in the Chang Jiang 750.
In 1938, BMW introduced a milestone motorcycle design the double opposition R71 cylinder "boxer" design flathead 750 CC, air cooled, shaft of the motorcycle. In its day, it was a monstrous machine, powerful, reliable and useful utilities designed with in mind. During World War II, this bike played a key role as a machine with the side of 3-wheeled cars military as well as a 2-wheel motor of staff. At the end of the war, the Soviet government adopted the exact design to train drive shaft, the construction of the Knieper and Ural motorcycles. These rugged bikes were widely used in the countries of the Soviet bloc, and then in 1957 the Chinese government adopted this design and using an aircraft manufacturing plant to pump thousands. In 1989, production ended, but not before more than 1.6 million faithful reproductions essentially the same motorcycle that started it all came out of his assembly line.
The machine became a CJ750 standard shipping in China, used by military, commercial, and individuals to mount every day. This machine has stood the test of time and is still here, in much the same design as the revolutionary bike around 1938.
There were two versions of this walk. The original design looked flat head with only 24 HP 5.7:1 compression. Later there was a valve design to head up the HP to 32, with a little more compression. Neither bike is compared with the speed and performance of today's bikes, but hey, that's fine. It is not the speed but the ride style you like on. Maximum speed is determined by how long you want to maintain that speed, mine likes to 45-50 MPH, not something bikes of today have to worry about racing, but again I'm not looking to go Quick, I'm interested in the whole trip itself.
The CJ750 can be completely restored from original motorcycle 0-miles that have been packaged and taken to a riding reliable condition. This can be done so cheaply that drivers may have played a classic vintage for less than $ 10,000 – fully renovated and ready to use. These machines are still used in China as daily transportation and business mail. There are many new pieces available and are played both in China and and here in the U.S.. Several companies offer these bikes and parts for enthusiasts, so it's not like you have a vintage bike that has parts that can not be replaced, or one that is very rare and expensive to assemble. There is no problem in vintage motorcycle riding every day, taking a trip with one and feel what was really to have errors in your teeth, your rod oil the boot and the sound of a vintage motorcycle ringing in the ear.
I have a small 4×8 trailer fun to take my machine with me to the beach or places I like to ride, even looks like a trailer queen, but in reality the eyes begin to arrive when the load and a walk, a sidecar to carry, goggles, gloves and a brain bucket and boots. You never see the back of the head when moving, just staring eyeballs and fingers pointing to the past as a motor. Travel to A1A is a spiritual experience for all cyclists and to feel and enjoy everything a beautiful day on a motorcycle at that location has to offer. And most everyone who passes gives us a thumbs up. We are enjoying our trip, and they are enjoying watching. This, to me, is what cycling is all. It is getting there, but travel that interests me. It is not smooth, powerful ride, fast, but remain "all that is needed to get where you are and vice versa. It is to be one with a mechanism designed for more than 70 years, pilot vintage metal collection. It is true "Retro" ride I'm looking and I found it.
For a relatively small sum of money, you too can experience all that is to own and driving a motorcycle in history.
