I have a dune buggy frame, what engine/transmission etc should i buy?
I have a dune buggy frame minus welding tabs but need to know which engine and other parts am i best going for?
I live in Brunei so I would imagine a Japanese engine and transmission would be easier/cheaper though I do have a Peugeot V6 engine available ( it’s front wheel drive though and I want the buggy real wheel driven).
I have checked out the junk-yards in my area today…..no vw beetles am afraid….
Pretty much everyone uses a horizontally opposed, air cooled Volkswagen because of simplicity, light weight, no radiator or coolant worries and durability. Also looks cool with a high mounted intake snorkel and long, fluted exhaust sticking straight up.
