snowmobile lost power and has a shot?
I have a 2001 Arctic Cat Thundercat 1000cc. my brother got it stuck in a snow bank and gave it hell trying to get out. I have nearly the power it shakes and makes a clicking noise when its driven. it doesn't do it at idle. I changed the spark plugs and I still get sparks. belt is good. were people watching and nobody can understand what it is.
Check the bearings on the shaft and the shaft itself, to me it seems that it could be. If you have a roll off a little bit of power, but certainly not at full power. Also raising power of a piece falls, so mean that the driveshaft is hitting around. To check lift the rear of the snowmobile up to as high as you can. Look the tree closest to the machine, to find the shaft.
