49cc / 50cc Scooters: Do I need insurance? Do I need a special license?
I am a student at UCLA in Southern California and I am selling my car. I am interested in buying one of these 49 cc 50 cc scooter. Tons of people have them at school I attend, they are pretty cool, super cheap (~ $ 700 – $ 1,000) and very easy to get around West Los Angeles. I was curious though: Do I need motorcycle insurance? And you need a special permit? Thanks in advance.
