Motorcycles
motorcycle or motorbike is a single track, two-wheeled motor vehicle powered by a motor. Styles of motorcycles vary depending on the task which were conceived as long-distance travel, navigating congested urban traffic, cruising, sport and racing, or off-road conditions. In many parts the world, motorcycles are among the least expensive and most widespread forms of motorized transport.
The inspiration for perhaps the first motorcycle was designed and built by German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Bad Cannstatt (since 1905 a city district of Stuttgart) in 1885. [1] The first oil powered vehicle, it was essentially a motorized bicycle, although the inventors called their invention the Reitwagen ("horse car").
However, if one counts two wheels with steam propulsion as a motorcycle, then the first could have been the United States. A machine of this type was demonstrated at fairs and circuses in the eastern U.S. in 1867, built by Sylvester Howard Roper of Roxbury, Massachusetts. [2]
In 1894, Hildebrand Wolfmüller and became the first motorcycle for sale. [3] In the first period of motorcycle history, many producers of bicycles adapted their designs to accommodate the new internal combustion engine. As engines became more powerful, and designs exceeded bicycle origins, the number of producers motorcycles increased.
Until the First World War, the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world was Indian, producing over 20,000 bikes per year. For 1920, this honor went to Harley-Davidson, with their motorcycles for sale by dealers in 67 countries, until 1928 when DKW took over as the largest.
After the Second World War, the BSA Group became the largest producer of motorcycles in the world, producing up to 75,000 bikes a year in the early 1950. The German company NSU Motorenwerke AG held the position of largest manufacturer from 1955 until the 1970s.
From the 1960s to the 1990s, the small two-stroke motorcycles were popular worldwide, partly as a result of engine work in East Germany Walter Kaada in the 1950s [4].
Today, Japanese manufacturers, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha dominate the motorcycle industry, Harley-Davidson, but still maintains a high degree of popularity in the United States. In recent years have also seen a resurgence in the popularity of several other brands sold in the U.S. market, including BMW, Triumph and Ducati.
Outside the U.S., these brands have enjoyed continued and sustained success, although Triumph, for example, has been re-incarnated as it was in a modern manufacturer world class. In overall numbers, however, the Chinese currently manufacture and sell more motorcycles than any other country and exports are increasing. The quality of these machine is conceived as something lower than their Japanese counterparts, European and American.
Moreover, the small capacity scooter is very popular during the Most of the world, and the Piaggio group of Italy, for example, is one of the worlds largest producers of two-wheeled vehicles. The scooter culture, until now, there has been widely adopted in North America.
In November 2006, the Dutch company EVA Products BV Holland announced that its diesel-powered motorcycle, the Track T-800CDI, reached the production line. [5] The track uses T-800CDI a 800 cc three-cylinder Daimler Chrysler diesel engine. Other manufacturers, including Royal Enfield, bikes had been producing diesel from the chassis aThe (or frame) of a motorcycle is typically made of aluminum or welded steel (or alloy) struts, with the rear suspension being an integral component in the design. Carbon fiber and titanium are used in some very expensive custom frames.
The chassis includes the tube direction that has the front fork and allows pivot. Some motorcycles include the engine as a load (or stress) members, which has been used throughout history cycling, but is now increasingly common.
Oil in Frame (OIF) chassis, where the lubricant oil is stored in the frame of the motorcycle, was used to Vincent motorcycles of the fifties, and for a time during the 1970s in some British motorcycles NVT. It was very unpopular and generally regarded as a bad idea at that time. Today it is an idea widely used in "Thumpers" (a single cylinder four-stroke) that usually have a sump lubrication Dry requiring external oil tank. A motorcycle is broadly defined by law in some countries for the purposes of registration, taxation or licensing riders as a vehicle two-wheel motor "driving conditions." Other countries distinguish between mopeds and small bikes and other larger the, the vehicles powerful. In Canada and some U.S. jurisdictions, three-wheeled motor vehicles fall under the auspices of motorcycle regulations.
In some jurisdictions, the term "motorcycle" includes trikesIn the UK, the rules on which motorcycle may be ridden by whom are complex. In the UK, a motorcycle "big" that can only be ridden by an elderly person over 21 years with two years experience in a motorcycle learner, has an output of at least 35 kW. Otherwise, the drivers are limited to driving a motorcycle with a power output of not more than 25 kW for two years after spending his initial test of the motorcycle.

The laws of some countries allow anyone with a driver's license legally ride mopeds not exceeding 50 cc capacity, which means you do not need to show any competence in the use of these vehicles.
