Corvair Sand Rail

How I can change my boot sand rail?

The gear on the starter motor is not entirely attractive to turn the wheel. I have a Chevrolet engine Corvair VW 65 and a transsexual. The starter shop tells me that the boot only comes in one size, but not big enough to capture fully the wheel. Someone knows about this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks!
