Diesel Atv Arctic Cat
Seeking diesel ATV advice?
We have noticed Arctic-cat has a deisel powered ATV available. Does anyone here have first hand experience with either this model or any other manufacturer’s deisel powered ATV? Some of the basic questions we have involve rate of acceleration, top end speed, range, and durability. We hope this vehicle will aid hubby to hunt the outdoors like he had prior to the accident.

Speed is not a requirement. I am not, nor have I ever been, a speed demon. The ability to get where I want to go is. The torque figures are very impressive. Since the accident, while the legs are working, they don’t work that great yet and I don’t know how I would be able to drag a deer or larger. I never really heard of a diesel powered ATV before. Saw it on the web and was thoroughly impressed.

http://www.biker247.com/news/2769.asp Theres some information. They were going to be military only I heard at one time. They will be just as powerful if not more powerful than gas atv’s. Probably alike speed ranges, more torque though I have heard.
The only downside I see to hunting with one is the smell of gasoline or deisel. Otherwise they can take you to your stand, be your stand (Arctic cat has a Blind option) if you wish to hunt on the ground. Great for hauling out your deer as well. I’ll bet eventually they will come out with a bio deisel option as well to run off of.
