Go carts are certainly thrilling, but can also be dangerous if not taken seriously. Remember that not only on the track. For beginners experts, and everyone in between, go carts are fun. If you want to drive as slow as your grandmother or as fast as Tony Stewart and Michael Schumacher, racing go-carts can get there. Many top professional NASCAR, Formula One and Indy Car drivers today started in the humble road car. With lots of practice maybe you can achieve the same success.
It was not long ago that go carts are found mostly in fun centers family, where any kid and his brother could go racing at a whopping 15 miles per hour. The answer is yes and no. Sure, you still may be safe, but without following certain safety rules you can increase your chances of serious injury. It is not necessarily high speed causing serious accidents, but without insurance or experienced drivers.
The first rule of the road is to stay in their comfort zone. This is easier said than done however because racing is not for the timid. At some point, when you want to upgrade to a more experienced level or class, can not feel prepared to do that. However, by creating their confidence in the lower classes are likely to be ready for increased competition. But do not try to move faster than your driving experience allows.
Back in the old days, when you go carts were extremely slow, you can go racing safely without a helmet. These days are long gone. Even helmets Children's tracks are a requirement now. The helmet is perhaps the most important piece of equipment you never use a road. There are other pieces of equipment are also needed, but none more important than a high quality helmet.
