Dirt Bikes On Sale
Registering a dirt bike without a bill of sale and a lien on it.?
My brother bought a house in foreclosure here Southern California, and the previous occupants left a child behind dirt bike. It's really a beating, so I gave it, but when I tried registration, the DMV told me I could not because the financial institution still have a warranty on it. I contacted financial cooperation. , But gave me no information, because I am not the registered owner! We talked to people who left the bike at home, but they said they had bought in a garage sale for $ 25 and that these persons had moved out of state shortly thereafter. Basically, I have no way of knowing who the original owners. I had a local department sheriff. check the VIN to see if the bike had been reported stolen, but it was not. Can anyone tell me how to get out of this vicious circle? Thanks for any help.
There is a simple way to obtain the title of the problems solved. Try to contact the finance company and explain the situation again completely. You can also see if the DMV can help you find the registered owner's name and address. Apart from what I have suggested, I do not know of a way to help. Good luck. By the way …. bill of sale does not make you the legal owner. This shows that sold it to you and what you paid. A title is the only document that establishes property.
