Dune Buggies Lancelin

Lancelin is a great location, just 1.75 hours drive from downtown Perth. Lancelin is popular not only because of the enormous dunes, but as fishing, kite surfing and wind surfing destination. It's just a small town, but not enough there to keep your family occupied for at least a week. Fishing is good, snorkeling is exceptional and the beaches are great fun. It is useless if you own a four-wheeler though.
If you own a motorcycle or four wheel drive I recommend Lancelin Sand Dunes. These are huge, and are constantly being used by four wheel drives, two wheel bikes, buggies and quads. The dunes are great too, so you can spread easily.
Wedge Island is just a short drive along the beach or the road to the inland from Lancelin, or you may drop if they keep up the tarmac main road on the way to Lancelin. Wedge Island is very popular for camping and fishing, but there is no doubt you'll get spoiled by the access they have two-wheel drive now. Several villagers have built small houses Lancelin as a holiday home there, so it is a place special!
Lancelin Fishing is good, and the main dock is always full of people trying to get good food. You can also watch the ships come and crayfish dump their loads, and pick up more bait. It is a very impressive small town and being so close to Perth is well worth a glance.
