What is the best way to convert a lawn mower gas powered electricity? Best batteries?

I mow the yard I want to convert the mower almost 5 acres. What is the ideal mower to use for turning purposes?

Any cutter will do. There are two ways to do it. First, take a tractor mower and remove the motor and shaft. Replace the axle with an electric transaxle (These are very common these days), look for one that is minimal from 1000 to 1200 watts. You will need a motor controller for this and the accelerator (Not throttle pedal.) make sure the driver has an inverse function of the same. Next, you need an engine (at least 1hp to run the blades – blde only 36 " 2hp for multiple sheets), or use a lawn mower that has a transverse axis hydrualic (very common these days) on it. This way you do not have buy a new shaft and driver. With this you will need at least one dc motor 3hp runs at 3500-3700rpm. Most mowers now use a tape system transfer power from the engine to the shaft and blades. Now batteries ….. this is where it gets expensive. It takes batteries that have a high output stage (rate download), with a high aH (Amp hours) .. and if you use a 24, 36 or 48DC motor, these can range from $ 300 to $ 1,000 each. (That is, the golf cart batteries that are generally 6 volts). Or you can go for some exoctic battery packs, but these can run $ 1,200 – $ 3,000. This is why the major manufactuers like Deere have no models really talk about. It is the manufacturing cost of the riding mower battery, which is almost the same as a gas mower, but it is the cost of the batteries. (Say a gas mower $ 1,400, would be about $ 3,500 – $ 4,500 as a cutter of the battery.) There are some great sites out there for batteries and motors.
