Go Kart Chassis Question?? (USED)?
Hey, I currently want to get into Racing Go Karts and ill be joining a club soon. I’m going to meet up with the club owner next week. I know i can ask him this but i was wondering what you guys think. What is a good USED Chassis for a 13 year old? For the Chassis its self i could pay about $800 Max. The Tracks i would normally go on is one in Sutton , Hershey Centre,
And Flamboro Speedway. Those are normally the tracks i would be at, There all of Asphalt . I’m a Rookie at this. Thanks

when i 1st started karts i bought a chassis w/ crappy motor for $600 and i got it to go pretty good. when i bought a brand new chassis (at the time $2500 or so) i used the same seat and rebuilt motor and i gained a bunch of speed just from the chassis. because the kart doesn’t have shocks and springs the chassis flex is very important. the older/more laps a kart chassis gets the less flex it has and it losses speed. prob the most important things to know about setting up karts are the gear ratios, the clutch, and the carburetor jets (which you have to change depending on the days weather). i raced asphalt ovals so there is a bunch of stuff you can do to the tires, pressure, tire stagger, etc. to make it turn left.
