2007 – Mitsubishi Outlander XLS – reliable or look elsewhere?

As for getting a small SUV for my wife and 2 children (3 and 6) so I have to install a car and booster seat in the rear. I am looking for a round of SUV for skiing, traveling all, some off-road (logging roads), pulling a fishing boat. I am looking into Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav 4, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mistubishi Outlander and 07 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-door. I am looking for safety, fuel economy, reliablitity, comfort, fun and good ability for some activities outside the road (not serious) have an ATV for that!. I need space for children and luggage travel. I like the look of the Mitsubishi XLS, the guarantee price and questions: what is the reliability of the SUV, the service at a dealership, the ride quality on the road and return to the long-term sales?

I am going through the same search now! Consumer Reports actually recommends Outlander, said that reliablility in his first year in the U.S. has been "exceptional." However, they also say the ride is quite firm and interior fit and finish is just OK. You should check out what they have to say about the Outlander, as well as the other cars you mention.
