Are 225/40ZR18 wheels too big for Honda Accord 97?
The tires are on Motegi Racing 18″ rims. Suspension has not been modified, and there doesn’t seem to be any rubbing. The Honda Dealer freaked out and said that the wheels are the wrong size and to immediately take them off. Thanks.
The tires are too wide, you should have gotten 215′s, but the rims themselves are okay… a little on the big side, but okay. Honda always freaks out when they see a car with aftermarket rims, they would probably want to see max. 17′s on there, but it’s not there car. Did you get the lightweight Motegi’s? If so, they shouldn’t cause excessive stress on the suspension and everything. If there’s no rubbing, I’d say keep them (get 215 tires when you have to buy new ones next time).
