Holidays in Thailand – Phuket in 10 exciting days
Despite the 2004 tsunami, Phuket has steadily rebuilt much of its infrastructure so now has both of its glamorous past as before. Its beautiful beaches create excellent conditions for diving, and increasingly clear waters of Andaman divers never let down. The nightlife is booming and there is something to climb on board with, so it will never be found without something to do.
Gibbon Rehabilitation Center
At this time, at least three families of rescued gibbons have been brought back into its natural habitat and currently live in the Real Book. Their distinctive calls can be heard in the forest, and visitors to take a look at these animals are always glad they came. A quick stop or even a dip in the nearby Bang Pae waterfall, make this trip two times more attractive.
Adventure sports
Phuket is full of activities to get your heart racing and adrenaline. The island is home Thailand's only licensed bungee jump operator which, on top of those credentials, is the only operator in Asia to ensure all this activity. Water sports in Phuket are multifaceted. Parasailing over the islands of Andaman offers a perspective to the coast on one side and the horizon on the other. Diving and snorkeling in the famous calm, clear waters is a fun activity the whole family can participate in. For those with a penchant for navigation, there are cruises to enjoy the dinner, sailing lessons in which to register and trips on which to embark.
Waterfalls
Phuket waterfalls are great places to take a bath or enjoy a picnic. Kathu Waterfall is the farthest inland and friendly pools for rapid cooling dip. Ton Sai is often photographed because of its swimming pools and tall palm trees. Gibbon Island Rehabilitation Center is home to the third waterfall of the island, Bang Pae, and those who venture here are also an opportunity to glimpse one of these animals.
Shopping
Shopping is a popular pastime in all parts of Thailand. The buyers in Phuket is the full range of traditional souvenirs. Silk, cotton and clothing custom made, can be found at attractive prices, as well as leather, jewelry and antiques. Patong is home to many of the markets and because of the tourist scene every day, buyers do well to come prepared and ready to negotiate a price that both parties agree.
Eat out

Fresh seafood supply is endless, and most dishes are tailored for tourists, not very satisfied spicy, without a specific request. Promthep Cape is one of the most photogenic spots in Phuket, a fact the crowd of tourists testify. The place is a popular shrine merit of making miniature elephants covered. There is also a statue erected in honor of a prince 19th century known for founding a Thai school of navigation. The cape is a great place to take spectacular photos, especially at sunset when the evening light bathes the southernmost tip of the island.
Temples
Wat Chalong is the most visited Buddhist temple in Phuket, due largely in part to its unique design and decor, spacious grounds and modern chedi (pagoda). Other temples are known Pra Tong, Put Jaw, Jui Tui, Pra Sahng San Sanjao Nahng and Sam. Visiting any temple, locals will appreciate it if the good customs of etiquette, ie covering the legs and shoulders, take off your shoes and to maintain an air of respect within of sacred buildings.
