Improve your yard and garden with an ATV Plow
Like many parents, Iâ € ™ ve always had problems with my teenager to do the work around of the house. Iâ € ™ really great in my yard and all the outdoor work that comes with it m. I do a lot of gardening, a lot of shoveling, and even more harvest and load. For years, it was almost impossible to get my son to help with any of this, and finally stopped making any kind of help at all.
A couple of years ago, the family and moved to Colorado. And not just any part of Colorado â € | the Rocky Mountains. We found a nice house with a large patio in a small community called Evergreen, about 25 miles west of Denver in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. To our surprise, the house comes with a small bonus: a large wooden shed on the property containing an old ATV and lots of accessories to go along with it.
After arriving in late November, we are just at the time set for the wintered € ™ s first big snowstorm. And boy, did it ever come down. After three days of constant blizzards and more than five feet of snow total, we are stuck behind 200 yards of snow-filled entry. The idea of trying to shovel huge area was overwhelming, until I remembered seeing a snow plow, appropriate age for ATV in the shed. Hoping that this might do the trick, I went to the shed to see if I could put together.
With a few calls to the manufacturer of ATV (Kawasaki), and manufacturer of snow thrower (WARN), I was set up and ready to go. Interestingly, all he did to the edge of the garage before my teenage son was running towards me with wide eyes and a look never seen before interest in household chores. Surprisingly, the boy asked me to shovel the driveway, a task that had always faked a cold to get out.
In only two hours, the ATV had plowed the whole 200 meters of road, and my son ran as excited as if he had just spent time on your snowboard. For rest of the winter season, his eyes lit up every time the snow fell, and never spent more than a couple of hours snowed in. During those great moments, my wife and I just heat a pot of hot chocolate and see the amazing transformation taking place from the warmth of the house.
When spring came around and it was time start working on my tree cutting rights and garden, I found a similar interest in these outdoor chores. I cut the branches, and my son would be to charge in the ATV plow and transported to the edge of the property. Then spent a week digging up dirt and dosage of land for my gardening plans tail. In a fraction of the time it had taken in previous years, had a large garden, thanks largely to the help of my son and his new favorite toy.
In the last two years, I havenâ € ™ t shovel some snow in the winter. During the past two summers, I havenâ € ™ t put a little Working in my garden. But still I have the best patio and garden in search of the block, and my son did it all with an old ATV and utility plow. And any time neighbors come to wonder how I got my son to be as helpful in the yard, simply point at which the old ATV and say â € œGet one and youâ € ™ ll see, for € yourself.â
