Your views on buying a used motorbike pls?

I've been offered a Kawasaki GT550 (1980's), not T & T, for £ 200. Skipped out of all 18 months, but started quite easy (when they jump through cables connected to a car battery), with some choke, despite not scoring more. So my question is: £ 200 a good price or should I keep hunting? Moreover, what qualiy for classic bike insurance? Thanks:)

It is a drive shaft, air cooled Kawasaki – bikes are very solid, even when not caring. You'll have to give a good review of safety (tires, tires, wheel bearings, brake discs, pads and lines, UJ axis, headstock bearings and swing arm, etc), but if it works, that's a headache not have to worry! If you're good with a set of tools, then £ 200 is a bargain.
