Kikker Hardknock Bobber

I want to add a Larger engine to a Kikker 5150 HardKnock Bobber?
Can I use a larger lawn mower engine and modify it to fit?
Try to stick with engines that are similar to what were mounted in the frame.
I have sucessfully swapped a 200cc vertical Lifan motor into mine, wiring was a breeze, but I had to fabricate motor mounts, exhaust pipe, intake manifold, I also had to get a longer chain and idler/tensioner to keep it from slapping.
a smaller horizontal Lifan motor of 147cc is a bolt-in swap and produces twice the horsepower of the stock 110cc engine. But be aware that you might need different motor mount bolts as some of the mount tab hole diameters will vary.
BTW Lifan motors are basically clones of small displacement motors manufactured in China. Lifan is the best quality of the clone engines.
I took the stock engine out before ever firing or breaking it in. Although the quality of the bike is fantastic. I wasn’t too impressed with the engine supplied.
Keep in mind many of these engines also now have a clutch, but a clutch cable, handle and perch should be pretty cheap.
Don’t hack a swap together with a lawn mower engine, it just doesn’t look right. Althought the stock engine works well and does the job, it doesn’t fill the frame and look like a real bike. With a vertical engine swap, the frame is filled more and the bike looks very convincingly like a low rider bobber.
