I have a ZING kinetic moped, is to rotate in reverse at times. Why does this happen?

What Mad Jack said. I had a stroke Motorcycle 2 which could result in the opposite direction. The ignition timing is set too close to where the piston reaches the top of which is a stroke. If the engine were to fail, a slower engine speeds, the piston is pushed back and the crankshaft rotates in the opposite direction. Turning the crankshaft in the opposite direction and the piston reaches the top of the cylinder, the inertia of the crankshaft, piston forces beyond the top of his accident stroke. Just as it starts in the down stroke, the spark plug fires. And repeat the process again. That could be a little confusing, but some people will get it. It's just a design flaw of some 2-stroke engines. When it happens, just turn off the engine and start again.
