Are there legal requirements for riding a moped in Texas?

such as insurance, license, and what is not? And it's a 49cc moped street-legal in Texas? Thanks

In Texas they are required to have insurance, but not a motorcycle endorsement for a moped 50 cc or less. However, you still need a class c regular license and have to be registered and inspected. Anything over 50cc requires am back on your license. Hope this helps. Oh, and I live in Texas and motorcycle trip.
