Buying a new go kart engine and I want to know what “I” need to know ?

I have a 5hp Briggs and Stratton very old model, I can’t even find any manuals or anything on it. I tried to call B&S to see if I could get a direct replacement but they couldn’t recomend one. Would anyone know what I should be trying to match up? As far as crankshaft length, width, mounting holes? If it helps I have an early 90′s manco dingo go cart. I’m wondering if all the measurments have to be super precise or if I can just buy any engine. Thank you in advance.

You can do measurement on your original engine I would be looking at Honda or Kawasaki as a replacement make up your mind then do whatever is required to fit it if you have too much trouble see my name and apply to become a contact include your email in your name ~~
