Im buying my first ATV. Help ?!?!?
I am very interested to buy a jeep some time ago. Where I live there is a lot of open beach, dunes and roads that are ideal for horse riding. You've never had a quad, and have little experience riding one, but do not want to invest in something that can not provide a good ol 'fashion adrenaline rush. I was looking for in a Raptor 350 or even a 400EX. A road vehicle that was traveling too much for a quad first time? Besides, I'm a pretty big (6'4 "200 pounds), so they are mini quads out of the question: P.
Given its size, well. Fast bikes, yes. Adrenaline rush, yeah. Being as its first ATV I would weigh his options though. I live in the desert, so we a pile of sand and plenty of wide open spaces. You have two groups of boys: The boys of "sports" and the boys of "public services." Both groups have reasons why they have bikes they have. If you really want a sport, by all means. Both are big bikes that you mentioned and will of its fine size. If you are looking for pure speed and acceleration, yes, roll with the sport bike …. And the maintenance that comes with it. Fuel mixture cleaning the sand from the chain, jets, etc. Personally, I'm lazy. I have a Yamaha Kodiak 450 4X4. It is a sealed drive system, so no chain or matters of sand, not hitting the sprocket because the ground clearance on the trails, etc. It takes regular old gasoline, not a mixture of two times. It is automatic and not have to worry about shifting. No clutch means you can sip coffee, water, beer whatever, while driving. It will do a little more 55 mph (I'm "5'11, 185 #). It will go wherever a sport and then some, but not so fast. Weigh your options and what you really want. If you want a acceleration fast bike that will ever scare you, the bikes you are considering are right. Good luck, have fun and be safe.
