Insurance for mobility scooters?

Would anyone be able to recommend a British company can offer insurance for a scooter, preferably payable monthly via direct debit? All I can find is companies that want immediate payment in full, which is not an option for my mother 70 years of age. The scooter is offered on permanent loan through a system managed by PBS, has recommended an insurance company, but want the premium payment and that is simply not an option for my mother.

If the scooter is delivered under the Mobility Plan, which provide insurance.
