What is the difference between a moped and a motorcycle?
Mechanicly a moped has pedals and a motor for assistance. Legally licensed 'Mopeds' vary by state, some scooters are licensed as 'mopeds' if the speed restricted, under 50 cc, automatic transmission, but may not have pedals. Some states, Wisconsin is one allows a pedal-equipped moped motor go higher if there is no transmission, 130 cc. Motorcycles and mopeds licensed motorcycle 150cc generally above have been prepared for transmission. "Motordriven cycle 'usually defined as less than 150 cc or under 15 hp-5 places horsepower-and not U.S. allowed on interstate highways. Made a 70cc Honda motorcycle / cycle there was a trtansmission motordriven 3 speed – which also uses the base frame and engine with the clutch pedal and centrifugul sell as Moped in some markets.
