Hey guys im going to washington DC soon, does anyone know if there is a place wereyou can rent mopeds?
While the above poster is wrong – Washington is safe except for a few neighborhoods it is hard to stray into from the tourist zone – the idea of a moped in DC is really terrible. The traffic here is crazy, and very busy, there are few places to park. You are much better off with a bicycle (they can be rented right at the Post Office Pavilion, across the street from the Federal Triangle metro station) or via our excellent subway system, Metro.
Also if you rent a bicycle, don’t drive on the roads with it- ride along the mall, along rock creek park or the designated bike trails.
