Maui or Oahu for a honeymoon?

I am trying to plan a honeymoon for my wife and I, and I am having trouble deciding between Maui and Oahu.

Oahu has Honolulu and a city atmosphere.

Maui has a little less people, so more seclusion.

I want to be able to snorkel, hang out on a nice white sandy beach, go on day trips, rent mopeds, and if possible, find a remote beach somewhere and have a beach fire. Where is the best place to do these things: Maui or Oahu? Any other suggestions among the Hawaiian Islands to do these things?

Oahu. i live in oahu, and i hav also been to maui. Maui has much less things to do and it gets very tedious after a while. on the other hand, oahu has a more variety. oahu has all of the things you want, but i don’t think maui has many snorkel places. i recommend you Hanauma Bay at Oahu for snorkeling, as it is beautiful. some other suggestions are(on oahu, that is) :

*sea life park
*north shore
*kailua beach
*ala mona shopping center (it is great there)
