Motorbikes Accidents

How do you react to bad news?
I just found a lifelong friend died instantly in a motorcycle accident yesterday. I lived with his sister for a few years. I have to call her now, but as usual, I do not feel anything, just normal car without numb my emotions. I feel anything but it?
"I feel something should not he? "No. There can be many reasons, first is the shock and pain. (See Kubler Ross model of five stages of grief) No. The second is the self-preservation skills. Forget the "should" feel, how you feel. There is no right or wrong. Forget the "should" accept yourself and be grateful for the skills of self-preservation, which include management skills, coping mechanisms, what takes you through life. They are individual, unique to you. There is no right or wrong, there is no right to feel. No. The third are the feelings rather than actions. There are some ways to cope in society and prevent harm to others that we should act. I'm not suggesting you do mourn or feel emotion, no feeling, but as long as they can act in socially acceptable ways, so this is unlikely to pose a problem for you. You can be kind to her sister, can be comforting can express his sadness, but without actually feel. No. People do not always manage / example of punishment in the same way. You may feel great, there may be leakage of these emotions, even if you do not recognize them for what they are. They are feelings of loss, even if they feel inadequate, as the euphoria. Be gentle with yourself, recognize these as they are; you're not asleep, they are showing feelings, showing their loss. These may change over time, recognize, accept, not only have to understand may function at a level where it does not interfere with daily life. Finally do not be surprised if in several months time, if you suddenly can not help but mourn for a couple of pants in ruins, exaggerated emotions or feeling, such as intense anger. Sometimes it happens. Acknowledge and recognize it for what it is. I am very very sorry for your loss.
