Ideas on what bike to get?

Hello, I wanted a cruise, but after much thought I realized that was not practical (or is it?) That could lead to a passenger (I'll be passenger is insured anyway) and I have family in Nottingham so I will be traveling around on a motorcycle (and I will have some luggage) I thought maybe a bicycle tour, but what do you think? any help or any suggestions for a motorcycle is much appreciated. I do not want to spend my budget thousands of pounds about 1000 Thanks, Lucas

Do not go with a cruise. They tend to be uncomfortable, with some exceptions, and the driving position placed in a disadvantaged position in control of your bicycle, your legs can not support your upper body, and it is difficult if not impossible to pull yourself up on the pegs. A standard, Gran Turismo, or sport is a double bet better, but you'll have trouble finding much of a tail. Your best bet will be some medium, such 450-750cc, and middle-aged.
