Motorcycles for beginners?

I have 18 years from Australia, and I really want to buy a motorcycle. I have never ridden before, but I'm usually a quick learning and well-coordinated and balanced. I searched the Internet, but I'm still struggeling to find the perfect dirt bike for me. I am looking to find a maximum of $ 1,000 with the best quality you can find. I will not be jumping or doing anything too crazy, just cruising around. But to say that I want to go fast. Me pitpro have said the large hands and feet pitpro are good bikes but have mixed votes online. If anyone can help suggest some good bike would be awsome:)

I would avoid the Pitpros just based on the website – are just three quarter size and toys seem to be more or less, you should be able to find one Second-hand 125 (or more) of a Japanese manufacturer that will serve you better. Try a Yamaha DT125R – which will take all forms of abuse.
